Best 4th of July Events in Miami 2024
As seen in all the famous movies, television shows, and music videos, Miami knows how to party. The city of Miami loves to party and we look for any reason to do so. When we find it, you can bet we do it big. One of Miami’s biggest parties is the 4th of July. You won’t find any regular side-of-the-road fireworks here, I’m afraid. Instead, you’ll be met with dazzling fireworks spanning the length of the beach, Latin barbecues, and dancing for days. As if a gorgeous skyline, crystal blue beaches, and Cuban sandwiches weren’t enough of a reason to visit, the addition of fireworks, drones, and live music is all the more reason to travel down here. If you are considering traveling down to Miami during the 4th of July weekend and are looking for things to do, here are the best 4th of July events in Miami 2024.
Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne 4th of July BBQ
The first of the best 4th of July events in Miami 2024 is the Fourth of July BBQ at the Ritz Carlton, Key Biscayne. On the gorgeous and luxurious 5-mile Island of Key Biscayne sits an elegant resort that replicates the charm of the tropics and the high life of Miami’s richest. This hotel is the Ritz Carlton. During the 4th of July this massive resort hosts grill master Jack Arnold to enjoy an evening of the tastiest barbecue, fireworks, and celebration. From 7 pm to 10 pm, you can find refreshing drinks, grilled favorites, a full buffet, live music, party favors, and outdoor activities. When 9 pm rolls around, look towards the sky to enjoy a fantastic Fireworks show. Tickets for this event are $75 for children and $150 for adults.

Miami Marlins vs Red Sox Game
Then the next of the best 4th of July events in Miami 2024 is to watch the Miami Marlins play the Red Sox at LoanDepot Park. As we all know, Baseball is one of the truest American pastimes. As we all know from the movie “The Sandlot,” nothing is more patriotic and summery than watching a baseball game. The crack of a bat takes us back to our youth and the smell of hot dogs, peanuts, and cotton candy reminds us of what it means to have a good time during such a hot summer. What better way to spend it than watching two of America’s most popular teams?
During the 4th of July, LoanDepot Park and the players will be decked out in red, white, and blue. You’ll also see some 4th of July games and tailgates throughout the day. Even more, due to the holiday, the Marlins will be honoring both active and retired military personnel and their families with a pre-game parade. You’ll also find special pricing and discounts for those active and retired military members as well.
Music and Drone Light Show at Peacock Park
The third of the best 4th of July events in Miami 2024 takes you into the future. Gone are the days of simple fireworks shows and speaker-blasting music. This year Miami is celebrating with exciting new technology that captivates everyone young and old. About 4 miles south of Miami is Coconut Grove, another high-class neighborhood with views of the intercoastal, ocean, and beaches. Look to one side and you can find the sparkling Miami skyline. Then, pivot to the next side and you’ll see hundreds of flashing drones moving in formation.
These drones will imitate firework sparkles, and dazzling shapes, and move in magical ways. But the party doesn’t start then. Before the drones take off into the sky, the famous Miami Symphony Orchestra performs live outdoor concerts throughout the evening. The Music and Drone Light Show at Peacock Park is a next-level way to enjoy the 4th of July for those looking for an experience that isn’t the usual fireworks and loud music.
America’s Birthday Bash Bayfront Park
One of my personal favorite ways to celebrate the 4th of July in Miami 2024 is to attend America’s Birthday Bash in Bayfront Park. Bayfront Park is one of the Icons of Miami. If you want to feel like a local Miamian, Bayfront Park is where you want to go. Located in the center of downtown Miami sits 32 acres of green space most often used for large gatherings, famous parties, concerts, and annual fireworks events. If you are looking for space to walk and hang out with your friends and family, Bayfront Park’s America’s Birthday Bash is where you want to go.
Here you can enjoy live music and local performances. On each corner, several food trucks will be serving delicious food and drinks. On the pathways, you can also find a plethora of family games and outdoor activities to keep you busy while you wait for the sun to set. Then as the sun sets, lay back and enjoy the largest firework display in Miami with a backdrop of the glittering Miami skyline.
Miami Beach Fire on the Fourth
When Miami parties, Miami parties big. This next 4th of July celebration is hosted by the city of Miami Beach every year. This annual Fire of the Fourth event is a huge block party utilizing the entire square from North Beach on 73rd St to Collins Avenue. From about noon to 10 pm, you can spend the day partying with friends, family, locals, and travelers. Wondering what you’ll eat at this all-day event? Well, this festival will have a multitude of food trucks serving authentic Cuban food, Dominican food, Jamaican food, barbecue, gourmet milkshakes, and so much more. If you don’t stay for the party, at least come for the food.
After your stomach is full, you will be dazzled by the circus performers, dancefloor, live music, and magic show. This event is most popular for locals in the city for a reason. Each year, hundreds and thousands of family’s flock to this street to celebrate America the Miami way. Then at the end of the night, the city of Miami Beach hosts a spectacular firework show that shoots up into the sky and reflects off of the ocean. Watching the fireworks reflect off the water while sitting on the sands of the beach creates such a memorable experience for your friends and family. What is even better is that it is free, all you’ll have to pay is parking… if you can find it.
Key Biscayne Parade
The last way to celebrate the 4th of July in Miami 2024 is to partake in the Key Biscayne parade. If you are looking for a historic way to celebrate this American Holiday in Miami, it will please you to know that this traditional event has been taking place since 1959! This is one of the oldest traditions you can find still being celebrated here in Miami. It started when local Miami residents wanted to teach the young children of the community pride in their country and what it means to be an American.
To this day, the parade still has the same motivation and is a great way to get your kids and family involved in this patriotic holiday. Starting at 11 am the community gathers together and marches down the street. You’ll find happy neighbors, highly decorated golf carts, local marching bands, and red, white, and blue stilt walkers painting the streets in celebration. Then after the parade, you can enjoy a hot barbecue that will both thrill your tastebuds and support the community. If you would like to walk in the parade, all you have to do is register to participate on Key Biscayne’s website, otherwise, it is just enough to simply watch, wave, and celebrate amongst the other families.
